Installation Field Coordinator -- Building Controls

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing Building Controls team in a key position as a Senior Building Controls Installer/Electrician.

Overview of duties:

• Installs and checks electric and electronic components for automated building control systems and energy management systems for large installs, retrofits and smaller installations.
• Installs or directs the installation of conduit, wire and devices associated with building automation control systems.
• Installs or directs the installation electronic controls, devices, panels, and sensors.
• Performs required wiring, panel fabrication, wiring check out and assists with system start-up.
• Assisting in project planning for larger system projects – new construction and retrofits.
• Team supervision and project management duties on larger install projects.
• Provide support for emergency troubleshooting of systems.
• Performing corrective and preventative maintenance tasks at assigned customer sites.
• On-call after hours on a rotational basis to respond to customer emergencies on as needed basis.

Overview of requirements:

• A team player, able to direct more junior technicians and able to work effectively unsupervised and self directed.
• A minimum of five years in the industry performing similar installations in educational, institutional and/or commercial environments – service, retrofit and new construction.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Valid electrical ticket/Master electrical license an asset.
• Understanding of Mechanical & HVAC systems.

Candidates must have a clean driver’s abstract and demonstrate they are a responsible individual with strong communication skills and a customer service focus. Candidates must be able to work within Canada.
